I’ve missed you friends. Spooky season has arrived and the holiday seasons are approaching so I need to get my act together and post some goodies I’ve been working on the past few months.
In the craziness of life, we have to find some time to treat ourselves. With the windy hot days, I find myself needing a little margarita after a long day.
No mixes needed. Just enjoy the taste of something made from scratch!
Margarita on the Rocks
Ice
2 limes; juiced
1 oz of your favorite tequila
1/4 oz Cointreau
3/4 oz agave syrup
Extra lime for garnish and juice
Extra coarse kosher salt
Grab your fave margarita glass. Soak the rim with lime juice and then roll or dip into your salt. Next, fill it with ice. For an added crunchiness, you can blend your ice so it’s slushier or you can go to your local Circle K or Chik Fil A and get some nugget ice (yes they sell it to you!)
In a cocktail shaker, add 1/2 cup of ice, your agave, tequila, Cointreau, and lime juice. Put that lid on and shake shake shake!
Once your have it nicely combined, strain it out of your cocktail shaker, into your prepped glass, garnish with a lime slice if you wish, and ENJOY!
