Who else misses the crunch in your salads?! 🙋🏻♀️ I’ve had my fair share of croutons before starting this GF journey. It’s not only the crunch but also the flavor that makes a great crouton. Bland flavorless croutons are a no go for me. This one is easy peasy!
Croutons
One package of GF Schär’s artisan baker white bread (cut into cubes)
1/3 cup olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp Trader Joe's Herbes de Provence
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and line a cookie sheet with parchment.
Cut your bread into cubes and place it a bowl. Drizzle your olive oil over your bread, and with your hands, gently mix your bread cubes to absorb the oil. Next, sprinkle your salt, garlic powder, pepper, and Herbes de Provence over your bread and once again gently toss your cubes until it is all evenly coated with your seasoning.
Dump your crouton mixture onto your cookie sheet and spread it out evenly so they aren’t stacked so they can cook evenly.
Cook in your oven for 8 minutes. Mix your croutons around and space them out again and then continue to bake for another 8-10 minutes until your croutons are a nice golden brown. Place your cookie sheet on the counter and allow your croutons to cool completely. Once they are fully cooled, place them in an airtight container or enjoy right away.
